The Ultimate Guide to Aesthetic Treatments for Brides of 2025

Your wedding day will be one of the most memorable events of your life... and naturally, every bride wants to look and feel her absolute best.

Emma Wedgwood Aesthetics specialise in helping brides (and grooms!) achieve glowing, radiant skin ready for your special day. To ensure you’re ready for your walk down the aisle, keep reading this guide on some of our most popular aesthetic treatments and when you should book them for optimal results.

6-12 months before your wedding: laser skin rejuvenation

Laser treatments are perfect for addressing uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation and fine lines. They're one of my favourite treatments to do (and to have!) too. By starting your laser skin transformation early, you’ll give your skin time to heal and reveal its full radiance in time for the big day. Whether it’s laser skin resurfacing or complexion-clearing treatments like Halo / BBL by Sciton you're interested in, these procedures stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture and create a luminous glow.

4-6 months before your wedding: Botox (anti-wrinkle injections)

If you’re considering anti-wrinkle injections to reduce signs of ageing and refresh your appearance, now's the ideal time to start. The effects of Botox typically last 3-4 months, so starting early allows for a top-up closer to the big day if needed. This timing also ensures you’re comfortable with the results and your natural expressions remain flawless, ready for all the photos you'll be snapped in on the big day!

3-4 months before your wedding: dermal fillers

For brides (and grooms) looking to enhance their natural beauty with subtle lip plumping, cheek contouring or jawline definition, dermal fillers can deliver a beautifully refreshed look. Allowing a few months for the filler to settle ensures a natural appearance and time for any adjustments if necessary. I recommend booking a thorough consultation to discuss your goals and create a bespoke treatment plan for your dermal filler journey, as gradual progression is key in creating natural, beautiful results.

2-3 months before your wedding: chemical peels

Chemical peels are fantastic for exfoliating dead skin cells, reducing acne scars and achieving an even, glowing complexion. A light to medium-depth peel can work wonders, and scheduling this treatment at least 2 months before your wedding ensures your skin has plenty of time to recover and shine. I love the Perfect Peel and highly recommend it to everyone looking to achieve red carpet ready skin (with minimal downtime)

1-2 months before your wedding: polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are an advanced injectable treatment great for hydration, elasticity and overall skin rejuvenation. I'm sure you know by now how much I love them! This innovative tweakment is perfect for brides looking to achieve dewy, plump skin; with polynucleotides improving the health of your skin on a cellular level, from the inside out. Best results are typically seen a few weeks post-treatment, making them an excellent choice to enhance your natural glow and complexion health leading up to the big day.

2-3 weeks before your wedding: gentle facials or light laser touch-ups

The final countdown! With not long to go, I would recommend only booking top-ups, touch-ups and gentle treatments during this time. Nothing that could rock the boat, or result in complications, breakouts or disaster! Facials to deep cleanse, hydrate and brighten your skin without downtime are great with just a few weeks to go - and if you’ve had laser treatments (like Halo / BBL) earlier in the year, a light touch-up during this time can help perfect your results and leave your skin camera-ready.

1 week before your wedding: final preparations

At this stage, it’s all about maintenance. Stick to your established skincare routine and avoid trying new products or treatments.

On that note, having a good skincare routine containing products suitable for your individual skin type and concerns is key throughout the entirety of your pre-wedding prep, in order to maintain results in-between appointments and get the best results from your treatments. I'd recommend booking a skincare consultation 12 months before the big day in order to have the products, the groundwork and the know-how ready for your walk down the aisle - I offer these consultations for all genders at Emma Wedgwood Aesthetics
